Apprenticeship Building America Grant
In support of National Apprenticeship Week 2023, the Workforce Development Boards of Bucks and Montgomery counties hosted an event for businesses on November 16, 2023 to learn about the many funding and training resources available to them to help recruit, train and retain our great area talent. Registered Apprenticeship program development, Incumbent Working Training, On-The-Job Training, and Paid Work Experience will all be presented.

In support of National Apprenticeship Week 2022, the Workforce Development Boards of Bucks & Montgomery Counties presented a webinar entitled "Pathways to Registered Apprenticeship and the Careers of Tomorrow for Youth & Young Adults". The webinar featured representatives from K-12, Community Colleges, and Workforce Development boards to spotlight Apprenticeship as a path forward in the changing workforce development landscape. It is never too soon for youth and young adults to start planning post-high school careers that enable financial independence and fulfillment. Many opportunities are available to start working and earning college credits right out of high school, including local Registered Apprenticeships in business, manufacturing, the trades, construction, biomedical research, information technology, and more. Apprenticeship Building American (ABA) Grant funds are now available for registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs in Bucks and Montgomery Counties! Funding is available for apprentices and pre-apprentices who have started a registered program after January 1, 2023. We anticipate funds will be exhausted well before the grant end date, so it's important to apply ASAP! The grant can be utilized to cover multiple apprentices and pre-apprentices in registered Bucks and Montgomery County programs, or even just one. ABA Grant Coordinator, Adina Tayar, will support programs interested in applying for funding and can be contacted at email@example.com. Adina is also available to help Bucks and Montgomery County businesses and organizations, including training providers and post-secondary institutions, develop new apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs, modify existing programs and add occupations.
