Household Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is a chemical that can cause harm to people, pets and the environment should be dropped off for safe disposal at a Household Hazardous Waste collection.

Montgomery County does not have a permanent facility to drop off household hazardous chemicals. The County has partnered with Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties to hold the Southeastern Regional PA Household Hazardous Waste events for residents to drop off household chemicals at no charge from early Spring until Fall. Residents outside of the five counties are not permitted to participate in these events.

Registration is required prior to attending a Montgomery County Household Hazardous Waste event. Please visit the other county websites for their scheduled events and to register, if required.

NO businesses, electronics/televisions, explosives, appliances, tires or construction/demolition materials will be accepted at events.  Please check the A-Z Recycling guide for the proper disposal of these materials. Thank you.
